Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what OSO stores in your browser, what it is for, and how to clear it.
OSO sets no cookies
OSO does not set cookies. The app keeps the small amount of state it needs in your
browser’s local storage instead, which is not transmitted with every request
the way a cookie is, and is never readable by another website. We use no advertising cookies,
no cross-site tracking and no third-party marketing tags of any kind.
What we store, and why
Everything below is stored on your device under keys beginning allure_. All of it is
strictly necessary for the Service to work as you have set it up:
- Your sign-in token — keeps you logged in between visits.
- Display preferences — units, your primary sport, your dashboard layout and
the range your fitness chart opens on.
- Your own training entries — races, goals, results, gear and planned sessions,
kept locally so the app opens instantly and keeps working when the network does not.
- Onboarding state — whether you have completed the welcome tour, so it is not
shown to you again.
- A sync timestamp — when your accounts last synced, so opening the app does
not re-sync more often than every ten minutes.
Analytics
We run no analytics on OSO. No Google Analytics, no product-analytics SDK, no
session recording, no heatmaps. If that ever changes we will update this Policy and, where the
law requires consent, ask for it before anything is set.
Third parties
Two things reach outside OSO while you use it:
- Activity maps. When a session with GPS is displayed, the map tiles are requested
from OpenStreetMap. That request necessarily reveals your IP address to them. No account
information is sent, and no map is loaded for a session without GPS.
- Connecting a device or platform. Choosing to connect Strava, Garmin, Wahoo, Polar
or Hammerhead sends you to that company’s own sign-in page, where their cookies and their
privacy policy apply, not ours. We receive only the access token that authorises the
connection, and you can revoke it at any time from Settings.
Managing your storage
Signing out clears your token. Clearing site data for trainoso.com in your browser removes
everything listed above; you will be signed out and your preferences will return to their
defaults. Nothing here is required for your account to survive — your training data lives on
our servers, and clearing local storage does not delete it. Deleting your account and its data
is a separate control, in Settings.
